This trip to Hungary, Morocco, Spain and France, starts like most of my international trips have in the past. On the way to the airport, I stop and have pie and coffee at a local diner, I take this time to make sure I have everything in order like passport, travel visas and things like that. It is a tradition that I have grown to really enjoy and it seems to really get a journey off on the right track. When the last sip of coffee goes down and I am reaching for the few dollars to pay, the mind shifts from the security of home, to the mental security of being on the road, I start to feel the excitement, the nervous but beautiful feeling rising up from someplace deep. The sweet taste of pie fading into the sweet road.
